Supervising our job site roofing crew
I have worked for Blackhawk Roofing for twenty years, and I'm responsible for overseeing daily operations at every job site. My duties include hiring roofing installers and laborers, monitoring expenses, managing supplies and roofing equipment maintenance, and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
With my industry experience and training, I also ensure that safety rules are always followed. I develop work schedules based on employee and supplier availability. I am responsible for:
- Delegating residential roofing and commercial roofing project responsibilities and tasks.
- Recruiting, hiring, training, managing, and mentoring employees.
- Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment. Providing training on safety gear, helmets, rigging, safety harnesses, and fall protection equipment.
- Reporting project status to the business owner, homeowners, and property managers.
Roofing estimates, roof inspections, expediting, business operations
With over thirty years of experience and roofing knowledge, I oversee the daily business operations of Blackhawk Roofing. I do roof inspections and residential and commercial roofing estimates. I am also the project expediter for our roofing company.
Over the years, I have maintained my status as a Certified Master Roofer. I continue to expand my industry knowledge by attending certification courses in roofing systems, products, and installation procedures. I encourage each employee to learn and grow in the roofing industry by offering incentives to expand their trade knowledge.
I own a home in West Springfield and enjoy spending time with my kids, Labrador retrievers, and several other pets. I am active in youth hockey and a regular Boot Camp participant at FitClub West.
