My career didn’t start in an office—it began on a roof. Over 30 years ago, I started learning my trade, one shingle at a time. And I’m still up on the roof with my team, every day. It’s what I do. Those early days taught me the value of precision, hard work, and understanding the unique challenges of every roofing system.
Before founding Blackhawk Roofing, I earned the title of Certified Master Roofer, a recognition of my commitment to mastering the craft. But I quickly realized that technical skill alone wasn’t enough. Homeowners and businesses needed more than just a well-installed roof—they needed a partner they could trust. That’s why, in 1995, I launched Blackhawk Roofing in Springfield, Illinois, with a vision to combine top-tier expertise with unmatched customer care.
